Re: CV on pedals
I once sent the "CV out" om my Moog MF-102 to the exp-in on the Pitchfactor. Made the Pitchfactor into a super crazy glitch machine!

Since you said you want examples, here's something I did with the Randy/Protostar arrangement described above. There's also a matrix mixer involved, as well.Ruiner wrote:I've got the ARF and the Midi Murf and Cluster Flux out of the ones you've listed.yeatsvisitslincoln wrote:I've used CV on the WMD Protostar and Randy's Revenge to control a bunch of stuff on A bunch of pedals and even use, for example, the envelope out on the Protostar to control the carrier frequency on Randy and use the carrier to control the frequency on the Protostar. The best for me is being able to use the envelope follower on the Protostar to control parameters on the Pretty Years or Chase Bliss pedals. It adds a whole new dimension of weird to pedals and often times makes it seem like I've just doubled the functionality of my board. I highly recommend getting something like the Protostar, Dwarfcraft Twin Stags, Happiness, or ARF, or any of the Moogerfoogers. Or you could just go modular and say goodbye to your money entirely.
I've been really interested in the Twin Stags and Happiness. Just gotta decide which one to get first.

I use the beatstep to control the CT5 in mode 3.
There are 2 loops active on the CT5 and all 16 voltages are the same on the beatstep. Then I turn the last voltage slightly off and the 2 loops go in and out of synch with each other.
Do not smoke a bowl and do this for hours on end.
LOL

Re: CV on pedals
You'll want to buy a Moog CP-251 if your gonna be messing with CV.
Here is a short clip of a Sub 37 patch I made running through a Seppuku Eco Mod being controlled by a CP-251. If this doesn't inspire you, I don't know what will, tbh.

Re: CV on pedals
This thread is relevant to my interests. Already have a teensy bit of cv integration but I'm looking to expand it with some incoming cv-equipped pedals.
I currently use the envelope from a moog freqbox to control two filters that don't have envelopes - an acidbox and a RML Hyde filter. Love how it lets me add functionality that isn't there otherwise.
Have a dreadbox epsilon incoming, which I got mostly for the cv and envelope. More control than the moog - you can control attack, release and sensitivity, and that envelope is output by cv.
I also have an ARF with cv in and out, and a clusterflux. I think I would also like to get a copilot broadcast for that lfo action, and then I'm scheming about a cheap passive 4x4 matrix mixer just for routing cv between devices (my understanding is that you can split cv without issue, somebody correct me if I'm wrong!)

Great clips and videos! Keep 'me coming!
Ritz, sounds like a great setup.
I'm excited to get my Rendez-Vous going with cv!

I should have said I know what it does but I want to hear how you're using it and/or share cool video examples whether you made them i not. Looking for inspiration for the new setup.
And if any of you are using the SA Reflex tell me how you are using it!

Re: CV on pedals
This is some seriously good shit going on in here!
I opted for the midi route to control my pedals, and do all my cv / expression via an 8 step feeding an expressionator. Have had some really good results using it with a Boss PS3, DD-7, Count to 5 and Bitquest. Need to check the cv capabilities of my midi murf and get that involved somehow!

Re: CV on pedals
Check my Instagram (@EvanGordon) - I have some videos of some serious CV connections going on. I did a gig with 12 devices connected via CV and/or MIDI. I haven't done it since because that setup took like 2 hours to wire up, and I fucking HATE being stuck with the same setup every day (I am constantly swapping pedals out/playing with ordering). It was, however a lot of fun. I have the ARF, Twin Stags, Happiness, 8-Step, and Pretty Years on my board, and I'd use the Arturia Keystep to convert MIDI clock to trigger pulses, send those to the ARF, and use the ARF's env out as the main CV source. There's gotta be a more graceful way to do it though, as the CV clock out to the ARF's trigger didn't yield super interesting results - the CV pulse was too short to get the envelope all the way to the top. Still brainstorming a workaround to this because I'd like to investigate further, but I've just gone back to dicking around with smaller pedal chains lately.
