Yeah I prefer his nonfiction although the dude was an antonishingly great writer of pretty much everything*.

*I studied writing during the late 00's so I'm pretty much hardwired to think that he was way better than I was ever going to be at anything (except not killing myself, probably).
good deals are here.

I think that's pretty much the new Chase Bliss pedal.

Was that the one with Chewbacca in it?

I went to a Reanimator Coffee in Philly with some friends two weeks ago. A gentleman decided to bring his copy of INFINITE JEST. Didn't read it, just put it on the table, drank his coffee and texted. More or less an 'accessory'.

That said, he could have been waiting to meet and lend it to someone. It is a good book. I read it before life became inundated in pedals and demos so now I can't finish THE PALE KING or for that matter...read.

So regarding the hologram...for me...I'm into it. The two pedals I want this year (excluding whatever Copper FX does) are this and the GCP.

I'll probably just get whatever comes out first and forget the other. I think this one will which is fine cause I already have GC regular and it is the same wavetable.

I'm just a fucking animal these days... :animal:
"SWIPE LEFT ASSHOLE!" -retinal orbita
"Whatever ASSHOLE here’s my pedal that makes humpback whale noises and also it has a built in sequencer so stick it in your craw! -retinal orbita
"Patty Mullen takes me from a ball peen to a sledge" -The Great Velvet Hammer
"...at this exact moment Divine has learned of your jealous scheme from the local town gossip. She also has your address, ASS HOLE!" -Narrator (Mr. J) PINK FLAMINGOS

I've made 3 trips to Nashville since Sept '15, so I'm definitely no stranger to those parts. My best friend moved out there to get his PhD at Vandy (since quit to do music; he hangs w folks in Linear Downfall, Butthole, and Skoolgirl if you're familiar with them) so I make it a point to go visit him fairly often. He, too, has quite the gear collection. I'll definitely let you know next time I'm in town :thumb:
D.o.S. wrote:Also I own and love Infinite Jest but I lost my fucking bookmark a third of the way through it and i'll be damned if I'm starting from the beginning so I haven't finished it.

The Pale King was really, really good, though.
Lol I started reading 1 year before I seriously read it and only got 100 or so pages in. When I picked it back up I just started from somewhere around there  I've only read selections from The Pale King (the 100 page one in the middle about how the guy joined the IRS was great). I've read a buncha his other works too; his nonfiction is stellar if you haven't looked into it.

This has now become the Infinite Jets discussion/Infinite Jest fan thread
I've been wanting to move to Nashville from Florida. I want to hang out with you guys.

Also I just bought Infinite Jest recently because my company gives me $5 gift card to Barnes& Noble for our birthdays. After 4 years I finally had enough of them to actually buy something. Figured I'd buy Infinite Jest because I can never finish it before it's due back at the library...

That'd be a great name for a pedal.

Read that one, IJ, Against the Day, A Frolic of his Own, and Underworld for a single class...Professor was nuts. Was late to class a lot, bragged about how one time it was because a cop suspected he was drinking (I did, too).

So what does this pedal even do?
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Well if you ever do hit me up. But really shit's getting more expensive by the week here. And we've had a hard time getting back on our feet after the Ghost Ship fire and the reactionary closing of the DIY spaces. Some of them are working to reopen, but it's not being made easy.
