It did actually but I'm only bitter with Fedex; I don't think either of us had any idea there would be any extra fees on top of it, especially not at that level. I got a letter about two months after your package arrived saying that I owed Fedex a further $80 for "handling fees" which were, until that point never mentioned, but which they insisted I had been ignoring and that bailiffs would be on their way if I didn't comply within x days. I called them up to see what it was about and they told me someone called Ryan signed for the package (no one called Ryan lives in my building so I'm fairly sure the delivery driver signed for it), I tried to contest it but gave up in the end because I would have had to come back to moan at you about it, which I really didn't want to do as you hadn't done anything wrong and it would be absurd to even think that you should be responsible for their wanker-tax. I can't fault Fedex for promptness and efficiency, they shat all over USPS in terms of speed but they're a sneaky bunch of cunts when it comes to hidden fees and general shadiness.
Why can't we all just have the Royal Mail?

The problem I have with what people are saying is that if it gets lost or damaged I'm fucked.
Cause I imagine you can't get $150-200 of insurance on something you are claiming is $40 or less.
And I if I was a pedal company I could cut my loss and send out another one but sometimes when I'm selling a pedal it's not because I want extra cash for it another piece of gear it is because I need that money because something unexpected came up. Its a greater risk than reward.
Edit:
But for ILF bros and non-emergency sale I'll definitely consider international shipping.

Yeah, this is my big sticking point with the "lie and say it's worth $40" school of thought. I'm just flipping pedals that I can barely afford. I need full insurance in case the post office fucks it up.karmablock wrote: Cause I imagine you can't get $150-200 of insurance on something you are claiming is $40 or less.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

You guys realise you can just explain to buyers that they have the option of paying for insured shipping declared at full value, or uninsured shipping at their own risk, right?
It's on the buyer if they pick an uninsured shipping option. I've written stuff off before because I deliberately do that to save money, shit happens, most of us are aware of that.

Both times I've had something shipped to me through FedEx I got invoices a few months later stating I owed them ridiculous amounts for handling fees. I never ended up contesting it, thoughD.o.S. wrote:Wait. Did that happen to you... too....?

+1 on fuck FedEx.
I used to ship my repairs via FedEx and later found out that they outright lie about shipping costs.
Once, I had something that was supposed to be ~$15 to ship turn into a $40 shipping charge.
When I called to contest it they said it had something to do with the delivery. After asking them if they just retroactively charge people for whatever reason they so please the motherfuckin' customer service agent replied with a simple, "yep" and hung up.
