Help needed finding this fuzz sound...

Post by Bassdude »

Hello,

I need help to match the sound of the intro of PedalsAndEffects' Battle of Boutiques:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL8eMWf-9ME

I know that troughout the Battles and Fuzz Wars there are some examples but I've lost its trace and It's driving me insane.

Does someone knows wich is the specific pedal Juan Alderete uses in the intro "theme"?

Or Can someone recomend me a pedal for this specific sound? I want a fuzz pedal just for that sound and not a do it all kind of fuzz pedal that can achieve this sound ALA SS/BS TAFM, but every input is much appreciated to get this killer full-bodied gated sounds.

Looking forward for your wise recommendations.

Cheers.

Hey, Bassdude, you should just ask Juan. He might remember what he used on that. :idk:

Yeah, the intro riff comes back when he's demoing the Kleissonic, somewhere around 2:37.

If you want more options for similar sounding fuzz, I'd just check Juan's other yt clips. The mastotron/fuzz factory/wooly mammoth/fuzzolo could probably get close enough, and so could a red witch fuzz god II imo.
