Favorite builders and pedals

Post by raj007 »

I like lists.

Who are your 3 favorite builders?

And

What are your 3 favorite pedals?

Granted, I'm pretty fresh to this wonderful world of pedals but I'll start:

Builders: Industrialectric, Dwarfcraft, Chase Bliss

Pedals: Industrialectric RM-1N, Industrialectric Echo Degrader, Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl MKii

Just some honorable mentions and thoughts: I spend a lot of time watching demos of pedals and browsing sights since diving deep w pedals a year ago --some I've tried some I've not but really just blown away by so many genius and creative builders.
Basic Audio, Montreal Assembly, Fairfield Circuitry, Hexe Electronics, Cooper FX, David Rolo, digdugDIY, Bad Pixel...

Great time to love pedals :)

What say you?

Dr. Scientist.
Montreal Assembly.
Smallsound/bigsound.

These will be common answers.

I love the daydreamer, but I can't use it at the end of a loud chain. Compresses the signal when it gets too loud.

Also, fun little oddity with it. If you under power it (like at the end of a one spot chain), all the LEDs will blink in time with the modulation and you get the modulation with no verb or delay. And then it shuts off.

Definitely,

Dr. Scientist
smallsound/bigsound

I'll have to come back for third... I'm gonna go with Industrialectric.

Honorable mentions to FuzzHugger and Lastgasp Art Laboratories.

Oh, and the BitQuest! is the greatest pedal ever conceived.

That's awesome! Yeah I had one and got rid of it because I wanted separate delay and verb, but now it would be a second delay and third verb on my board so that doesn't matter haha.

It's a pedalboard unto itself.

I could (and have) rocked a Mini, BitQuest, and Ct5. That's 3/5s of my board right now, anyway.

My top three manufacturers are Industrialectric, SS/BS, and Dr Scientist/Montreal Assembly tied for third. Also followed closely by Dwarfcraft

My top three pedals are the Echo Degrader, Pretty Years, and BitQuest. Followed very closely by Count to 5. Those 4 pedals are basically my desert island pedals.
