I like DK, I just don't play that sort of stuff myself.
The digital delay on short time+repeats and the tone rolled back sounds EXACTLY like the slapback algo. There was absolutely no reason to have a dedicated slot for it on the face of the pedal. That was my point.
To the OP - if you already have an Rv7 that's probably as good as your get without spending more or a bigger enclosure- like the Cathedral. I found most of the reverbs in it weren't that great but the reverse had a lot of options to tailor the sound.
Aye. RV7 is the main verb, just wanted a second one to run earlier in my chain to be pitch shifted and dirted and filtered and and and reverse reverted again.
I pulled the trigger on a valeton brand new so if it really blows I can return for a refund
Will report my findings when it arrives!
kind of want a cathedral
any love in here?
sold my dimension because I needed cash
and while cool I'm weird and want weird pedals
the blend on ehx is kinda meh but once you dial it in, forget it
I've tried several reverse reverbs but I always end back with the Digitechs on my board. At one point, had four digiverbs all in reverse going to four amps (they didn't do true stereo), then two rv-7's and now two polaras. The polaras are the same algorithm as the rv-7 which are a slightly less bright algorithm than the digiverbs, at least to my ears.

That's good to hear as I've just ordered a Polara out of curiosity (and the fact that i want to play with a reverse reverb that will actually be pretty decent compared to the travesty that was aboard the Marshall Reflector RF-1 ).

Are you sure it wouldn't as hidden algorithm with the neuro app?
'In 1994 while on weekend manoeuvres in France, I commandeered a Chieftain tank without permission of my immediate superiors. I then attempted to invade Paris. However, en route I stopped off at Disneyland, or Eurodisney as it was then called, and was subsequently apprehended on Space Mountain.'

interesting, I've been looking at the new digitech and DOD reissues...
that MEATBOX!
let us know!
The Zoom Multistomp CDR is pretty small and has a reverse reverb. I believe it is based on the RV-7's effect but it is possible to set it with the original signal completely eliminated.
Well I got the valeton today. The reverse was kind of usable, but the pedal outputs loud digital ticks every so often, and constantly in spring mode...... I actually would have kept it had it not been for that. Returning it, and now have a digiverb incoming!
Back when I had a cathedral it certainly did reverse well. Add a mod for the infinite switch to be latching and you've got yourself a freeze too

if it only did reverb with infinite as an option.
I did an external mod on my freeze so it doesn't matter where it is for instant access to the effect
need to figure out my board finally...
