¡favorite octave fuzz time!

Post by theecaptain »

When it comes to fuzzes of the upper octave variety, I have an ss/bs BUZZZ -- dig it.

What's yr fave? Do you like the octave to be [foot]switchable? :poke:

As usual, I don't need anything more ever, but I'm considering a DBA Octave Clang.

I like the Roger Mayer Octavias. They have a lot of texture and dynamic range. I use this one, but sometimes I feel like it could use a midrange knob.

I had a Chicago Iron Octavian Plus, but it wasn't......I don't know, it was missing something.

Kind of regret gifting it; it was mint and I could have made a little return on it at least.

I use a Fjord Fuzz Wodan octave Fuzz. It is based on the fOXX Tone Machine, but less scooped and an insane amount of output! Great for both piercing leads and ugly textures.

I love my maestro brassmaster clone. Favorite fuzz ever. So fucked in the best way. I'll take a picture later.

Ibanez Standard Fuzz

Or my favorite beebaa/superfuzz clone: Boss FZ-2. Doesn't really have a strong octave though :idk:

Same. I have it after the fuzzes and the stereo chorus split, right before the HM-2 on the 'main' amp channel. I also love it just by itself.

I have two. A Spaceman Sputnik, and a Prescription Electronics Experience (original non led version). I also have a Spaceman Sputnik II on order.

Damn you! Lucky sonofabitch. I'm hoping i can snag one of the more limited runs they still haven't announced yet. Would love to hear what you think once you get it. I owned a Sputnik a long time ago but sold it and wishing i never did now.

Yeah by itself is a very cool fuzz sound. Fuzz on chords and clean octave on the high notes, until you play more than one string at once then fuunnnn.
