These Arms Are Snakes played secret show...

Bummer I missed it. One of my favorite bands.

Tons of video at the link.
Fwiw, I haven't watched any of the video so it could be trash.

Ben Verellen playing drums, too.

Back when Enter was first out?

I've seen TAAS a few times live and don't fee like I missed out but if they toured again I would be pleased.

I had to look it up, but I think it was this show: http://www.bandsintown.com/event/589523 ... e_from=178

I knew I'd seen TAAS, but couldn't remember if it was with Pelican, Red Sparowes, or Isis as I saw all of them at Neumos a few times and they came through often around then.

I read an interview with Brian Cook about how they really tried to hone in a more minimalistic vibe on that record, like what were they able to accomplish with one note or one phrase. I feel like I appreciated it more after looking at it through that lense. There are some dope riffs on that record. This one always gets me going, that drum riff is so cool:

i've revisited this record in the past year and appreciated it more than when i first gave it a spin (i was probably not in the right place for it which influenced me heavily -- it just wasn't what i wanted musically).
