What piece of Gear can't you go without...

Post by bigbadbeach »

Hey I was wondering what pieces of gear you guys are playing on , that you simply can't go without.
You know that feeling when you go over to your bros house and hop on his rig and it just doesn't have any magic too it because your missing your favorite stuff.. that's what I'm talking about.
Me personally I can't go without a good OD into a Fuzz. I neeeeeeded ittttttt!!!! Oh and my Ibanez IC400 Iceman. If I have an OD and Fuzz and my Iceman I can play anywhere and do anything. ANYTHING!!!!! Cheers :)

the mini or fuck is essential if I'm plugged in

I don't think I play very well unless my signal is a bit distorted, so anything that distorts. Otherwise... :zen:

So obviously the Elements.

:doom:

I think mine, if I'm playing live, is probably my Dual Rectifier because that's my dirt sound usually.

BUT... if we're just talking pedals I could play through any amp with De. Scientist the Elements and Blackout Effectors Cadavernous.

That's one of the main reasons I play with pedals (and specifically Elements for dirt): as long as I can get a hold of an amp with a relatively flat eq I can sound reasonably good - which is perfect for the shitty fucking gigs I play with shared backlines.

But yeah - blues lawyer overdrive, little amp exploding, brutal crunch: I don't care. As long as my signal is a bit or a lot distorted I feel at home.

I'm not a fan of a dry amp (most of the time), so I'm going with verb. Agree with D'arcy on the Space :)
