I actually tried a compressor last week! It turns out that it wasn't what I needed at all. I replaced it with a DF-2 with missing knobs and backplate. That was exactly what I needed!

Whenever this or the other TB thread pops up, I venture over to TB to try to figure out what's going on that's worth subtweeting over here, but I can never play catch-up.

so, I dont get it though was this thread created by a group of kids whose facebook account got deleted cuz they acted too much a fool, so they as "breeders" go plug up every other social cyber space getting off on the same end result?

Pretty much. Every couple of years ILF gets a new crop of internet Syrian Refugees who eschew integrating into the existing culture to set up a Calais refugee camp on their own after they get playpenned at whatever site they started building their community at. Sometimes it's TB, sometimes it's HCFX, but it's always "no we're doing our own thing just let us do it in your space now." It's why we have a Doom Room, it's why this thread exists, etc. It goes a long way towards illustrating how people operate, I think.

The funny thing is that some of them are probably "close the border" types in real life, and don't recognize the humor.

Can I ask you a serious question?

Why does everyone that joins ILF have to conform to your vision of what people should do on ILF? I mean, I don't get it? We have to post in the threads you want us to post in. Start the types of threads that you want us to start. Talk about the subjects you want us to start? I mean, you also can't have a pedalboard with more than like 15 pedals, you can't have a compressor? As soon as someone strays a bit from the vision you have of what everyone should conform to, you shit all over it for no reason?

Do you actually have so little self awareness that you think that way? You should go to TB, you'd fit in super well there.

I've been banned from TB since 2011. My reading comprehension has improved vastly in that time, and I still don't understand this post.

To give you a real answer to your real question I'm not sure why this niche version of the post your pedalboard thread exists beyond being a Calais camp, which is a funny semi-annual phenomenon on ILF. No one actually cares what you post (obviously?), it just seems like unnecessary Quarter-ing of the site to me.

You misunderstand the purpose of the thread. It's not just for posting pictures of your board, it's to banter about literally anything and everything you might be into so long as you can avoid being butt hurt. The butt hurt sometimes happens, but c'est la vie

The aim is to be as chill as possible.
