Who's into JEFF the Brotherhood?

Post by jrfox92 »

Whatever happened to them, anyway?
I was super into them back when I was in High School. My first few bands were heavily inspired by them: punk-ish, Sabbath-ish riffs on a down-tuned, high output SG through a Big Muff into a broken amp. Shit was cash.
Hung out with them at a concert once for a solid hour or two, it was rad as fuck.
I pretty much forgot all about them when I got into shoegaze and doom a few years ago.

Oh, they're also the reason I love Sunns and Emperor cabs.

I forgot about them for awhile too, but I tossed them on my new phone (that has legit storage space) and I'm loving it

They have too many good albums for me to keep track of. Like hypnotic knights, heavy days, into dreams all rule, but they also release albums like every year or two, so it's hard to keep up.

Have you gone back into their early catalogue?
After the shift from obscure to slightly-less-obscure-ft. Dan Auerbach and Danger Mouse I started to lose track of/interest in them. :idk:

Does Mr. Pibb even exist outside of movie theaters?

They seem like dirtbags (in a good way), play cool guitars, and this is a pretty rad cover
