Is the Moog what Brian recommends for pretty years? Could be the wrong expression pedal entirely. Don't own a pretty years so I cannot say for certain.resincum wrote:moog ep-3 d.o.a.I've been looking forward to pretty years filter sweeps for the past week

Pretty sure Pretty Years needs CV not expression, does EP3 do CV?

The EP-3 is a robust and reliable universal expression pedal designed to work with any keyboard, synthesizer, or pedal with an expression or CV input. It features a newly designed cam system with extremely smooth performance and durability, a polarity switch that ensures compatibility with non-Moog products, a scalable output knob for specifying musical range, and a ¼” output jack on the front panel that allows you to use the supplied 6.5’ cable, or select a different cable length that perfectly suits your needs.

In my experience the Pretty Years won't work with just an expression pedal. I always have to route my 8-Step in the middle to convert exp to CV.

solo tunes:
completed works || loosey goosey releases
associated acts:
Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)
I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

Re: The Whatever Thread .. For Gear!!
yeah I don't understand how the EP-3 produces CV if it's passive? anyways, I tried it out on my DD-500 before calling it dead. CME are being great about it tho and sending me a refund. source audio reflex should be perfect for PY.
does anyone have a keyboard or something like a qunexus that sends out CV? me thinks you can use the PY as a little synth if you have something sending 'notes' through cv while it's set to oscillate

I have a QuNexus and a PY. I'll see what I can do.
EP-3 does not send CV, as stated. Passive shizz.

I know I should sell my tonal recall to offset my recent synthing purchases, but it sounds REALLY good paired with my memory man. Like holy shit. Stacking them gives me the best ambient delay sound I've ever heard.....

Hipsters.
Tuned my guitar down one and a half steps. Fingerstyle playing. Sounds like The Last of Us OST. It's awesome.

I need to take my VI home with me from the rehersal space soon
Gustavo Santaolalla actually used a Bass VI a few times on The Last of Us OST.Inconuucl wrote:I used to fingerstyle all the time back when I had my Bass VI.UglyCasanova wrote:Hipsters.

Is there something unnaturally odd about the cadence of this dude's voice?
