Yeah I like it. But I have a big fat compressor at the start of the chain that makes signal loss a non issue.

So with a little googling it seems the dreaded signal loss is just if I use the tuner out on the Ernie ball passive? i somehow thought there was always some sweet tone fairies disappearing on the passive volume pedals?

Pretty much yeah. It's passive though, so it's like adding one more long cable in your chain. Gotta buffer that and you'all be fine.

The THR10 is better. I don't really love the Yamaha amps, but the THR10 is really fine with all the modes - and you can store your sounds.friendship wrote:Should I get a Yamaha THR5 or a Roland Microcube for my quiet bedroom amp?

Better sounding or better features? While the tone knobs might be nice, I don't really need the presets.Pepe wrote:The THR10 is better. A bud of mine is going to buy my Bass VI so I don't have to sell my No Memory, which is fantastic.

Also, that new OBNE headphone amp just solved a lot of issues I have. going to jump on that as soon as I can.

Personally I really think that the THR10 does also have a better and fuller sound. And you might like to have the acoustic or bass guitar mode that the THR5 doesn't have. Is there a shop in your area where you can check out both models?friendship wrote:Better sounding or better features? Do demo, because the GAS is mighty! It would allow you to listen to a recording latency free as you're recording silently. Which is A+.blakestree wrote:Ordered one. I think...

Yo, Santa if you haven't got me anything - I'm really craving a Muff. I've an acute Mogwai and Dinosaur Jr resurgence come on the past few weeks.
