I tend to this: monosynths are a great addition to all the other synths.

I have a Minilogue and was also skeptic about the slim-keys before I got it. Now that I'm used to them, I love them and regular sized keys almost feel clunky.

I wouldn't consider monosynths "additions" as some of the most prolific synths ever made, have been monophonic. That's kinda like saying bass guitars are additions to "all the other guitars", as most basslines are one-note-at-a-time.
