That split sucks. Envy sucks from Insomniatic Doze on, save for a couple tracks on Recitation, until Atheist's Cornea. Then the singer left (and if rumors I heard in Japan are true, kicked out of?) the band.

Would rather listen to anything from Envy over Thursday.

Did hear that he isn't in the band any longer.

Huh. Going back and doing some Youtube research, I realize that I had no idea what Thursday really sounded like.

I just discovered these folks, and they scratch a very nice post-Dischord itch for me - based on the Jawbox / Fugazi mentions earlier, I'm guessing they're not specifically what you asked for, but you may dig 'em: https://veery.bandcamp.com/releases

Great band, nice dudes. Some of those guys play in Sundials which is nothing like anything mentioned in this thread, still a cool band though.

Do you know Chris, who recorded this, and used to play (or still does?) with Brief Lives? I've met him once - seemed super nice. We geeked out about pedals 'till everyone else walked away, rolling their eyes.

Nah, I'm a super quiet person that only keeps to my small friend group. They're friends of friends though so I have shot the shit and what not. Richmond has a lot of nice people, always enjoyed going there.

I never got into Glassjaw for some reason. Envy I really don't like the vocals.

Other that that, wow. Veery is quite good. Makes me think of Knife The Symphony, you guys might quite dig them: https://knifethesymphony.bandcamp.com/album/split-12

And I just wrote 5 pages listening to the whole Kidcrash discography. How I could miss this band while listening to Native for years is beyond me.

I didn't get a chance to check the rest yet, but thanks a lot already. Will report back :)

Glad you dig the Veery! I'll have to check out Knife The Symphony - thanks for the heads-up.

It came out in Victory, so you've got to listen to it with no sleeves.

Grade is pretty good, thanks a lot!
Saosin is like Coheed and Cambria, love the music but can't get used to the vocals :(
and Sparta and Trail of Dead are classics ;)
