Re: New Strymon pedal
On the note of the Metal Zone, I really want to try one since there's so much shit talked on them. I bought a Boss SD1 today and it's the shit, so I dig my Boss stuff.
Someone has one for sale on Facebook right now but they want 60 bucks shipped and I've seen them go for like 25-30 LOL! So no dice.

Re: New Strymon pedal
if i wanted a metalzone i'd just troll craigslist until somebody who was selling their first guitar, pedal, and amp was selling their FX PEDAL and snatch it up for a cool $25 or whatever.
i really want to try the anarchy audio metalzone hm2 mod. seems interesting.

Only one of those four would rock a big yellow Riverside dildo.

Re: New Strymon pedal
Riverside is a "city" in "California" that the "Beat Farmers" wrote a "song" about, which sounds "pretty much" like the Strymon's "tones" but without a $300 "pedal".coupleonapkins wrote:Sadly, it's also a "city" in "California"lost in music wrote:The namesake, possibly?![]()

Crowbar are the fucking best.goroth wrote:Dudes, gain down the metal zone is in effect an insanely powerful parametric eq with a fuckload of gain on tap.
Crowbar use/d them that way as a boost/eq as well.
Recommended.
Edit: I've never given a shit about the MT2 before in my life and I just did some quick reading. I think I want one to stick in front of my 1984.
WWPD?

I think so, yeah. It's a matter of scale, but we're still drooling over stuff in the same way. Same process, different direction.D.o.S. wrote:Do we? Granted, we do the same for Montreal Assembly and Smallsound/Bigsound on this board. everybody's got their thing, but it is fun to mock the other camps.

I believe you are referring to Cannibal Goose, who are not to be fucked with.vidret wrote:GOOSED. CANNIBAL CORPSE TOAN

This is what I was thinking, too. 3 band EQ is the only thing they could think of to use those three knobs for? OK...'drive/gain,' 'volume'....now what? Bias/starve/sag/grit? Pulsewidth? Contour? How about an additive dirt pedal that goes crazy on even-order harmonics? One that adds some 14kz crystal lettuce? SO BORINGoscillateur wrote:Yeah, I don't see how this thing can even think about beating a Mini for example in terms of sound and versatility.
They could have at least modeled some nice bias/headroom/starve thing in there and I would have been interested but as is... meh.
