What do you want a demo of?

Post by aussy »

Well, I have a bunch of pedals, recording gear, and a bit of free time. If I don't run out of batteries anytime soon, I can do a few quick demos. Wont be able to upload them until next week though, since I don't have the USB cord with me. Here are the pedals I currently have:

Dr. Scientist RRR
Boss HM-2
Mellowtone Singing Tree Lite
Ibanez DE-7
Deluxe Memory Man (x2  )
Alesis Microverb
Teese RMC-1
Frantone Peachfuzz
Frantone Creampuff
MXR 74 Phase 90

Hm, well I recorded a demo of the Frantones already, since there isn't much out there on them though. 8 minutes long each of me just noodling, though I'd say its pretty listenable. Had to do it at low volume too since its late here, but they were close mic'd. Might redo them tomorrow and make them 3 minutes each.

I'll do a demo of the microverb too. It'll probably be short though. I'll showcase the 7th reverb (SUPER deep), and maybe a little bit of reverse (can't use this for the life of me)

As for pedal combos, I'll get to that later! Just demoing my current setup alone (a DMM -> singing tree) and the sounds I get from it would end up being 15+ minutes. I don't even want to think about doing that chain!

On second thought, I could just take the parts I like and edit them together. We'll see. I got my MTR (Tascam DP-008) like 2 weeks ago, so haven't played around with it too much.

Oh, btw, the setup I will be running for these demos is:
neck single coil, bridge humbucker guitar > pedals > matchless lightning amp (2x10, voxy, british, bright, will darken it up for the fuzz demos so they don't get fizzy)
Recorded with a Tascam DP-008, Shure SM-57, and might use this cheapo seinheiser mic I got for free (e815s I think) to mic the other speaker

I vote Microverb.
