My Millimetric build - WITH VIDEO

Post by samzadgan »

Over a year and half ago I saw, for the first time, these guitars that looked like the most different and inspired looking guitars ever. A little bit of research led me to Millimetric guitars. Since then, I followed their posts on intagram and other forums, until a friend ended up getting one. But the design was not 100% my cup of tea, more the shape of the body, than anything else on the guitar. Shortly after my mate got his Milli sent to him, and after multiple late nights of him singing the praise of the guitar and the builder, Millimetric released a single cut offset version of the guitar.

For me, this was it!

As with most things, life got in the way for a good year…but finally about 3 months ago, I spoke to Florian (the builder, who is an awesome guy) seriously about getting a guitar made. After a few back and forth messages on custom options and measurements etc, I put my deposit down, and started this journey…which has been amazing…since Florian is such a cool guy to work with.

Any, I have some progress shots, and more will come as the build continues…for now…enjoy…

So cool! Congratulations! Millimetrics are my favorite. If I ever go to buy a 'spensive guitar it will be one of those. What color are you doing?

So rad. Usually I'm so boringly trad when it comes to shape preferences, but these are cool as fuck.

Awesome, by far my favorite new builder. They are surprisingly affordable too, remember that their listed prices are in CAD.

Blakestree...Colour has been my hardest choice to make. I've toyed with a couple and pretty much set on one particular one for now...not gonna spill the beans, but suffice to say it will match the general colour theme of my rig.

Kosta...thanks man...how are you going with yours? you got the black one right?

DRod...yeah man, CAD...and like you say very affordable, especially given what you get off the rack for the same price.

I got the shell pink one with the black guard. It is an incredible guitar, and Florian could not be better to work with. He indulged all of my pain in the a$s requests and delivered them all flawlessly. (Anodized aluminum guard, white pickup covers, Gibson L6 style varitone switching…) These guitars are fantastic.

My next guitar will be a Millimetric for sure. Love the aesthetic of them, and it's way too pricey to buy a guitar out of the states these days with the exchange rate.
