Filters and LFOs

Post by Iommic Pope »

Maybe I'm uneducated, but doe anyone make an filter pedal that's swepp is controlled by an uneven sort of LFO/wave. Like a UniVibe type throb, specifically.
:snax:
Just curious.

In b4 D.o.S says "Gristleizer" :snax:

What kind of filter w/ LFO are you looking for, Pope?

There's an incomplete list here: http://www.effectsdatabase.com/type/filter/lfo#list

Honestly I don't know.
I had this thought that I love UVibe, and combining it with filter sweeps/passes could be cool.
Might need a dry/wet blend?
It's still a concept I have really thought through.
I'm gonna check that list out though. Thanks bud.
You're saving my ass everywhere lately!

:thumb: I think that new (& expensive) Glou Glou pedal and the WMD Protostar are probably worth a listen.

Well the two is for the "uneven" wave since once you can stack a pair of them to get some interesting LFO shapes with variable speeds and waveforms (triangle, square, ramp up and ramp down) feeding into each other -- and that's before you get to the textures you can find with the Bias and Level knobs, but that's a slightly different thing than what you're asking for.

Also I'm getting an error whenever I try to add this, but Vidret has a shapeshift mountain. Maybe PM him about it?

You know, you start with questions like this and you end up with a modular... :)

Which reminds me to recommend the Koma Kommander to people who have pedals with CV inputs (for the ones with expression inputs, check first the voltage range they accept without issues). Relatively cheap and cheerful way of controlling anything with CV. I think D.o.S. bought one because of me. I'm an influential man.

Throbble.
Can Aen chime in with what the Happiness is capable of doing? Feel like that one may be able to pull this type of thing off. I don't know. That things out of control.

Happiness is on my radar. Along with the Doom. I still like the MuRF.

Accurate. I was gonna be say Moogerfoogers (101 + 102 = more than you're asking for), then I thought of any filter with an exp input and an 8 step program, then I thought of the new EQD filter (Spatial Delivery, I think?).

With the exception of the EQD ped, all of these will basically push you into modular madness.
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.
