Tell me about why i can't open the video synths thread

I'm also forbidden from the original thread, but there was a lot of interesting stuff in there. Can we make this the new video synth thread?

I am very close to pulling the trigger on some Tachyon+ gear now. I'm thinking either the Vortex Decoder or the Opti-Glitch. Although, I'm still very tempted by the Giekes 3trinsRGB+1c
