Panasonic RQ 2102 playback speed mod?

hey everyone, is it possible to mess around with the play back speed of this unit if you add a potentiometer somewhere?

oh, thats right...

what if i need to be able to both cut AND boost the speed?

that wouldnt be possible with just a potentiometer...

There might be a resistor between the power supply and the motor to regulate the speed. Stick the pot there... lower resistance than the stock value would make it spin faster (just don't exceed the rating of the motor), and you could slow it down with a greater resistance. You might need to put a small value to keep the motor from getting too much though.
