Yea, it's on my "after summer AC bills stop being a pedal+ a month over average" list.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

Fuck yeah, that carcosa is a cool pedal!

i think it's a little familiar to the Fuzz Stang (Wright Sounds), that pedal is based on a Sam Ash Fuzz-Stainer and the Carcosa on the Maestro Fz1. Both can do the velcro thing and the fat fat dirty fuzz!!! Love them both, cannot decide which one to stay so will keep them both for now... Dirty pedals they are, the carcosa is more nasty where the fuzz stang is more musical, Carcosa cleans up better and has more sounds in it, but the fuzz stang is something special, it has a mysterious beauty in it :p ...and bla bla bla...

I leuuuuuuuuve them fuzzes man.

Cool that the Carcosa is that affordable, thanks for giving the inspiration!

This sounds really, really good.
Side mount jacks mean it won't get it the gig board but damn, would be a great addition to the füzz collection!

^^^this is the funniest requirement for making the cut.

(I do it, too. They also have to be etched, black with white knobs, and in a 125b. It is the only thing I am this compulsive about).
The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

I've previously argued for the practicality of top mount vs side mount, which in as many words boils down to the following.

It is way easier to trouble shoot in a live situation. If I have a pedal that starts to shit itself I can just unplug it, and then take the patch cable from the two on either side and get that totally out of the loop. Then after a gig I can remove the pedal without having to remove any other pedals.
I use dual lock on my pedals so getting them off is a pain in the ass, and having to remove one pedal to the side (or both depending on jack placement and cable type) to remove one pedal is not practical.

Ease of placement with top mount is a relevant, but very much secondary factor.

At home neither of those things is important - so yep, anything mount for home, top mount for gigging.

edited to sound less blunt. Meant comment to be much more conversational than it reads. Sorry! :idk:

Sometimes I value you side jacks based on placement in my chain. For instance on my bottom row of my PT I have side mounting jacks as first and last in the chain because it's all pre-fx loop stuff (dirt, phaser, tuner). Top row of my PT is all fx loop stuff and it's all top mounted which works out just fine because it's on the top row and therefore I don't need a right angle instrument cable so desperately. I would HAVE to have a right angle cable to go from pedals to amp OR rearrange my pedalboard to get it to work out different.

OR.

I WOULD HAVE TO TURN A PEDAL SIDEWAYS.

blasphemy.

IIRC the answer is 'yes, if demand continues', and I'm told it's been doing pretty well so far.
