Re: MAX MSP ?
I used Max from about 1993-2000 (I'm a bit old). It was great for small stuff, but the graphical environment didn't work well for large, complicated patches (at least back then). Max for Live has made me curious again.

Re: MAX MSP ?
great program.
the graphical environment is still rudimentary, but there's never been any drawbacks in my experience.
if you're into engineering ideas and capable of paying attention to the details, then it's the best tool available.
it's the autocad of the audio world.
two weeks ago i helped my drummer write a patch so he could use self built contact triggers as audio signals into his 8 channel soundcard to run a midi drum kit in Logic.
sure there already exist programs that do this, but they cost money and now he's got an electronic drum kit that cost him 20$ in parts.
there's a windows crack floating around the internet if you're into that sort of thing

Re: MAX MSP ?
Never gotten my hands on it... I plan on changing that eventually, however.
I want a giant bunny and I want a bunch of regular bunnies and they will form a hive mind and the giant bunny will be the queen bunny and they will attack in swarms.
