Is there a delay that...

Post by hazelwould »

Will keep playing a note or chord I play, and then when I play another note/ chord it plays that one? Without all the overlap and mush.

Also, I had this setting on my SMMwH where you could play something and it would fade in and get really loud with delays then fade out, creating like a crazy stuttery swell thing. Could you set up a DL4 to do that?

Sorry random delay thoughts.

the digitech timebender will do the first thing
it sounds kinda fake though. i could sorta get it with the DMM and i can sorta get it with my AD202 right now but the feedback knob has to be set at the absolute perfect spot and it also depends on the speed you're playing at so it's difficult.
having a bit of overlap is nice though, especially if you control it with your dynamics.

the ducking delay setting on a DL4 will do that, although there may be a little bit of overlap... if you set the repeats lower it'll be cleaner from chord to chord. guess it depends on how fast you're playing as well...

With the SMMH in loop mode, you can loop the note that you want it to hold, set the repeats to zero, then loop again while you change to the new note and it will record your new note while erasing the prior one. Try that.
