We're all good. We've just found the area on the Venn Diagram where we don't overlap, lately.

But that's all good. :thumb:

In the name of Swedish Nationalism, why on earth would you rep Opeth when you can rep Gadget, who just put out a brilliant record this year?

But seriously.

Gadget.

Maybe the best grind band not containing "napalm" and "death" in their band name. I've seen them twice and they rule.

Also dos, that cardigan is clearly too small, and obviously you have retouched that image of me with your fancy photoshop skills. Scumbag.

Oh yeah, a couple of full dynamic range Napalm albums have just hit Spotify. Woot!
Yeah they're playing here next week, should be awesome.

All cardigans are too small. No one has ever worn a baggy cardigan in the history of the world.

counterpoint: one shade away of 'skintight' =/= baggy.

dude, don't make me take photos of myself in my baggy cardie :animal:

hey honestly - I get anyone who says they stopped being cool with the inclusion of keys. It's a sound that not everyone likes... But sometimes they sound sweet as fuck. I do have a soft spot for the mellotron, introduced to them mostly by another bae-turned-mediocre Steven Wilson... And there are things that draw a lot from the keys even on Heritage which I dig.

But hey... to each of his own. I for example absolutely love Ghost Reveries. Some of my fave Opeth tracks are from that album :idk: YMMV

This is a beautiful moment in ILF.
Also, Gadget is great. Hadn't heard them previously.

Does Opeth have a big following outside of Gojira/Dream Theater fans? I've never heard them spoken of except for by dudes who live in Gojira and DT sweatshirts.

I think Opeth are bigger than Gojira but I imagine there's some substantial overlap.

I've been saying this shit for years now. That's why I walked out of their shit ass concert after Heritage came out.

After Black Water Park, they should have ended it all. Mikael lost his ability to growl after doing it for 20 years, at least that's what I believe. He says it won't allow him to progress as a singer. Come on dude...That's just dumb.

Now they are making shit ass music that mainstream and stupid. I mean the new album actually is being called psychedelic and old school. Whatever the fuck that means. I just read a Rolling Stones album where Mikael said the new album is like Bob Dylan in reverse. LOL! Bob Dylan fucking SUCKS and always has. So by that they would suck harder I would imagine. ;) The new album is utter trash. Just awful. Nothing good about it. Fuck you Opeth. FUCK YOU!

Just listen to Bloodbath, at least after Mikael left they didn't immediately start sucking.

I don't really like it. It's got some good tunes but the organs ruin it for me.

Nah, the songs get really busy, and the heavy bits don't hit as hard cos there is a layer of fucking noise all the time. Baying of the hounds with no keys and still life production... :omg:
How can those keys at like the 6 minute mark not annoy you? Super cheesy tones and just fucking everywhere in the mix.
