I'd love to run some drums through an Accountant or a Sex Drive, see how fat and crunch it can get.

Also worth considering: a clean blend for parallel compression is a beautiful thing on drums, imo

Damn, the Sex Drive is expensive for my blood. But the aforementioned three comp pedals are all within budget, so i'll probably pick one or two up and try them on mono drums and synth, soon. After my move.

you got that alesis 3630? cheap, dirty, and awesome to use in all the "wrong" ways.

also +1 on DOD death metal. i like the louder b version. DOD grunge if you want more control over the gain. and another +1 for the behringer superfuzz, although i only use it on the boost mode for drum and synth stuffs.

Not on option on most cheap dirt pedals, but a dry-mix knob will always help out with a synth, especially if you're playing bass. As many others have mentioned, this in addition to the EQ on the BOSS ODB3 will make that one excellent for synth distortion. It may sound too nice (not grimy enough) though.

Yeah, like I said earlier in the thread (I think?), a blend control and eq are rrrrreally nice to have on a dirt pedal that'll be used on synth/drum machine...

A nice cheap option for a dirt pedal with a blend control is the Arion Bass Distortion (MD2 I think). That's a great pedal on most things, by the way.

Okay, I feel like this is what Psychic Vamp wants

Warning: not cheap and potentially GAS inducing

That interactive demo is an absolutely brilliant idea. This sounds great too.

$750? Jaizus. At that price, I'd rather have the Sherman Filterbank 2.

I've been looking at the EH tube series of pedals recently (Wiggler, LPTube, Zipper) & almost forgot about this one:

:idk:

But then again, a DOD Bass Compressor is still about $40 or so.... :D

I know, crazy stuff. Just the fact that it's elektron will probably be enough for them to sell though..
