Occurs to me what a great board one good dirt pedal and a Pitchfactor could be. Especially if you have on of those controllers to scroll presets access the tuner.

Chicago as weird as it was even in the worst neighborhoods I never got crap from the criminal element for having an obvious guitar/amp/Space Echo combo lugging around (put a couple pedals in the gig bag pocket, was ready to roll).

I'm a scary dude though and that was a long time ago.

It works really well, and you can put little wheels on the front of the trailer to turn it into a pram/stroller thing (it's meant for children, of which I have a handful) but it works great for carting gear around instead of a trolley at gigs. You can also roll it pretty easily onto the train, if you have trains that fit shit like that. It's rated for up to 45kg, but I've had around 50 on it without any problems. Another thing I've done is ridden to the train station with the trailer and gear, and had a folding handcart trolley thing with me. Locked up the bike and the trailer, grabbed the gear then hopped on the train with the trolley. My wife suggested selling it once the youngest children grow out of it. My response

My usual advice would be "get a car and stop being a fucking burden" but that's only because my town is not negotiable without a vehicle of your own. And it's not like there are an abundance of rehearsal spaces here, let alone affordable ones, let alone ones that let you rent a permanent room.
I understand this is something you actually have to think about in a big city that works properly, so I'd say get a second guitar.
If you're taking band life seriously then maybe consider all going in for a van and a group commute/gear haul to rehearsal and shows?

I keep separate stuff at my practice space and only bring guitars back and forth to most rehearsals.

That thule trailer idea is a pretty good idea, although they are pricey since they are mostly for children, I have found some offbrand ones for a couple hundred dollars less though, doesn't seem like a bad idea at all to invest in one at least for the bulk of the year (spring/summer/fall) seems like with a tarp I could even get away with riding in the rain possibly.
Chicago is definitely a city, that is friendlier to the idea of "why have a car?" due to our public transit being pretty good and our traffic laws/parking/traffic being absolutely horrendous.

I think I'm going to go ahead and make a secondary board at home, and live the main board at practice or vice versa. Might get a second pitchfactor to compensate, get a second guitar to leave at the space, and see about this hitch to take the synth stuff back and forth. At least I don't carry my amp or anything back and forth. Thanks for all the recommendations.
