Has anyone tried any of the Biyang Rat clones? If so, what did you think?

Re: Super budget pedals
Update to let people know that he doesn't actually have any and they just refunded my money. Lame.spacelordmother wrote:Supplies are dwindling, but this guy just accepted a counteroffer for $59 with free shipping:spacelordmother wrote:It's actually sold out a lot of places right now and used prices are starting to climb. I know because I have been looking. Anybody who wants to dump one for $50 hit me up!!colossus wrote:I don't know if anyone mentioned the Behringer Vintage Time Machine yet, but it's $50 on Amazon and while isn't a replacement for a Memory Man, it sounds damn good. Super murky and the vibrato is awesome. Yeah, it's huge. Deal with it.

The reverb listing says he has 5 left. Is that BS?

Yup, said in stock when I ordered too. I sent him a message after a couple days and no shipping notice and he said "blah blah no got sorry update soon" and then last night he just refunded me. Stupid.

the analog mode on mine is just glitchy I think it's a mistake but I won't use that mode much so I am just going to keep it as is

Re: Super budget pedals
What about the tuners? My gut says "it's a tuner, how bad can it be?" but if the shit is wildly inaccurate then I'll just get another PitchBlack...

Re: Super budget pedals
Just get whatever works, even the name brands ain't expensive.
I'm still using a quartz non-pedal tuner I got in the late 80s mostly, I have them built into enough other effects to kill as well.
It's either close enough for gov't work or you get a strobe tuner.
If I wanted "cheap" and tuner, I'd probably just tell you to get a cellphone app. Everybody has those these days!

Those god damn it moments when you realize you just need to cave in and get a smart phone. Or, then you remember VCOs are for suckers because DCOs got stable tooning beeeetches!

Less about stability, more about setting a reference pitch to tune everything else to...

Re: Super budget pedals
i was making a terrible/stupid joke. I want some VCOs. Or completely digital oscillators into analog filters. Or just more synths. The Volca FM and Volca Kick are super beautiful.fever606 wrote:Less about stability, more about setting a reference pitch to tune everything else to...

My Cheapos:
Joyo Crunch Distortion: Sounds no worse than an MI Crunch Box, which is to say that it comes in handy in a pinch when you need a rock sound that cuts through. Not my favorite, but can rescue a gig in a pinch.
Joyo Tuner: It can be a little iffy with basses and downtuned guitars, but that's what string harmonics are for.
Arion Stage Tuner: Not chromatic, but it kept me in tune for 20 years.
Donner Stylish Fuzz: A tepid but tolerable Muff. Doesn't cut through that well, but it's not the worst Muff in the world either.
DOD Volume/Wah: Seriously my favorite wah. Why didn't everyone play those?
