I've seen them in the low 300s, secondhand.
Yes, the Roland SP404-SX.
What about having the warranty, and no previous wear & tear etc? Not an issue?

I've had an original (non-sx version) SP404 for about 8 years now and gigged with it heavily, its scratched to fuck and dented, been dropped hundreds of times, still flies like a dream.
I was checking that out, but hoping to find something smaller/simpler. I don't need anything else besides something to trigger the envelope on the ARF. asked saturnworks guy, but I guess it's not that simple. there's a crackle/pop when using the momentary stomp on the ARF when the drive isn't cranked and it's driving me fucking mad. bummer cause it sounds so damn amazing. I'll ask copilot adam
i'm glad i can call you a friend. even if i'll never see you again
Do you want sequenced pulses or just a single trigger per stomp resin?
If you want a single trigger per stomp, wire a ~5v battery or psu up to a momentary stomp switch (normally off).
Trigger pulses...broadcast should work.
All this said, I don't know the ranges of the cv ins on the arf (if it is a 5v or 10v trigger/gate).
It might work haha. Try an old Walkman 4.5v adapter, cable and some alligator clips and see what happens.

i've got a dilemma. i have a Pedaltrain 1 which is packed to the gills, but i want to get a Uni-Vibe box on there. the top corner on the board, right to left, is Goodbye 24, Randy's Revenge, full-size PolyTune. so something, probably the Goodbye 24, will have to come off (the rest of the top row is sacrosanct: RV-3, Seppuku Mind Warp, TC Classic XII 12-stage phaser.). I may have to swap the tuner for a PT Mini as well, because the hard case doesn't tolerate cables running over the sides of the board from side jacks. My head hurts from listening to Uni-Vibe pedal demos; i'm probably going to get a Villanova. but it's really hard to let go of the current setup. it's Tetrised in tight as a drum, and i've just finally been learning how to use the Goodbye 24. grumble, mumble, grouse.

I figured out the solution to the problem: take the tuner off the board. i even have a spare spot on the daisy chain i can plug it in/out of down at the bottom of the board. i'm relieved...i really like running the 24 into the ring modulator.

Question for the fuzz lord masses: what are people's favorite fuzzes that clean up with dynamics or volume knob work? Seems like lots of fuzz just gets weaker but equally fuzz as you decrease the volume. I've done some major flipping lately and have realized that this is seemingly the biggest feature that makes a fuzz really useful to me or not. I have a TAFM coming in the mail, hopefully that will work as I want, but I'm curious about everything!
