Negative experience with MDMA Effects (not a drug thread)

Post by ck3 »

Before the peanut gallery chimes in, I'm not inquiring about experiences with ex and molly. This thread is in reference to the effects company that currently sells boutique pedals including a Tim Escobedo Uglyface clone thorough Reverb, Ebay, and Facebook.

I first made contact with them in May of this year, and the conversation seemed productive, professional, reciprocal, and informative. Their initial reverb listing for an Uglyface was kind of vague, so I opted to wait a few months for them to establish consistent positive feedback ratings prior to placing an order.

Their current Uglyface listing is still kind of confusing, so I contacted them immediately after placing my order to clarify what I would be receiving, and it took 2 days for someone to respond with another question and nonspecific info. There was no response for 7 days before I sent a more insistent message today referencing a possible refund request.

In one part of their Uglyface listing, it says they have 5 units available and in another, there is jumbled reference to a 3-7 day build time. I'm wondering this will be yet another failed attempt to acquire an Uglyface.

Has anyone else done business with this company? If so, how was your experience? Are they suffering from MDMA effects?

[Edit#1: Paragraph breaks added per request of D.o.S.]

Now things are really getting interesting. The guy I'm communicating with seems to be making progressively less sense and is referencing some imaginary item post that allegedly indicates there is a 2 week build time.

He also spoke about restocking and part fees that are nowhere in his Reverb store policies. Additionally, I just noticed they updated the Reverb Uglyface listing with an increased price, but didn't change any of the other text.

I requested a refund and am probably going to have to get Reverb and, potentially, Paypal involved. What fun. :whateva:

[Edit: More paragraph breaks, same inspiration]

MDMA fucks you up yo. I used to love X. Man...glad I'm not in that spot anymore. Dangerous place to be.

Oh and I have no idea about the pedals. LOL

Also paypal will crush him.

Just build you own Ugly Face. They are super easy to builder. Buy Talyor's pcb from musicpcb.com

It's difficult to undo decades of mindlessly block formatting text, but fix'd nonetheless.

Reverb may be able to sort this without PayPal having to go Rocky IV on the seller.

Given the recent string of bad luck with Uglyfaces, I'll probably opt for a Subdecay Harmonic Antagonizer instead.
