Super budget pedals

Budget pedals I have owned the last 10 years:

Behringer:
Bassoverdrive: Noisy, but sounds pretty cool. I like it better than the Boss.
Vintage Phaser: Had this about 10 years ago. Liked the sound, but it had some bleed, so it had to go.
Flanger: OK flanger. But it had some trimpots and if you maxed them this thing would self oscillate like no tomorrow.
On of my first encounters with noisemakers. Had some great siren and UFO sounds.
Tuner: OK. It's a tuner.
EQ: Worked great for boosting the mids after my NYC Big Muff. Also fun feedback-shapers in feedback loops. Had two of them.
Digital delay: The one I got had a terrible bypass, much worse than the rest of them. But the sound was OK and the "Holde"-mode was fun.

Danelectro:
Fab Tone(the big metal postrock pedal): Sounds horrible in a good way.
Dan Echo: Allright analog-ish delay. I modded mine so it would a real nasty self oscillation.
PB&J: I loved this when I had it.
French Toast: An allright Tone Machine clone.
Corned Beef: Horrible reverb pedal. Absolute shite. Gave this one away.
Spring King: Loved this! Specially when I got rid of the slapback. Sounds good pre gain and in the end of the chain.

Mooer:
Black Secret: Great, cheap RAT-clone. Sold mine a couple of years ago. Waiting for a new one now.
Hustle Drive: OCD-clone. Never tried an OCD, but I liked this one. Was my main OD for a year.
Green Mile: Sound good, but I never bond with TS-style overdrives, so sold it to the guitarist in the band. Sounded good when he used it.
Trelicopter: Sounded good, but mine had a volume drop when the depth was set high.
Yellow Comp: Bought this the other day and I love it. Makes my lapsteel come to life.
Pitch Box: Sounded out of tune. Did an ok detune-chorus. To bad I don't like chorus.

Digiverb will forever be in my collection. along with the more expensive supernatural verb. Love digitech verb.

Ibanez PM7 is a really fun one, there is clock noise on extreme settings, but I mostly use it as a slow moving phaser to separate me from a second guitarist in a band so both our parts can come through. It's ability to be a ring mod/psuedo bit crusher is great as well. I have had issues with it adding noise to my signal when I am plugging into a bad power outlet, but whatever. I have spent too much time with it to let it go.

Love the BF-2 Flanger right now, as I have covered in the most recent flanger thread.

Danelectro Cool Cat fuzz v1. It's a frantone clone, very affordable Green Big Muff style fuzz.

I have used a buddies Behringer Tremolo for fucking around with my Boss PS-2 as a sampler. Works really well. the behringer vintage time machine as mentioned before is a nice murky analog delay.

and honestly, with all the drama, used devi pedals can be picked up cheap as fuck. there are certainly dreamers asking $200-300 for an old Soda Meiser, but picking up an old Punch Love with an 05/25 switch for a dirty and clean boost for $50 is nothing to sneeze at. I picked up my OK for about $60 which is perfect for running drums through. Getting a nasty dirt pedal to make quick noise for $40-70 is a tempting option now-a-days among all the pretty polished boutique companies. I could never bring myself to try her new pedals after what she has done though.

the standard delays are good, and then it does all this dumb stuff that is awesome, has a hold function does weird pitch does delay with tremolo on repeats odd vibrato sounds
depending on where i want this in my chain it may kill a few pedals for me, not sure yet

Love a quick, cheap dirt on drum machines. It's like, one of the few reasons to keep a $20 Boss DS-1 around. Never tried running drums through a Devi pedal, but it suddenly makes sense.

Love the old dod delays and choruses. Usually go for 50 or less, got that mn3005.

If we're including Ibanez 7 series pedals in this discussion, the Danelectro food series minis are also worth mentioning.

I have the trem and the EQ, they both do an awesome job. I've always wanted to try the flanger, rotating speaker, and the octave metal distortion one to see if it's the right kind of terrible.

I'm fairly certain a Dano Rocky Road was partial trade booty back in the guitargeek and HCFX golden years. I recall it being pretty bland overall and flipping it quickly. I wonder if the Dano Black Licorice is anything like a DOD Buzz Box, though I'm pretty sure the octave doubling is only one down and not two. My favorite offering from that series is decidedly the French Toast and the Fish'nChips is a close second. Apparently, there's a trimpot in the Chicken Salad, which I never had a chance to tweak back when I briefly owned one. There was even a pretty rad-looking rehoused Chicken Salad floating around the Harmony Central classifieds long ago.

Ones I ditched:joyo tremolo (had a large volume drop)

there are actually trimpots on the board of that one for volume & waveform. it's tweakable & can be made to sound pretty damn great. i have one & use it a lot.

The Behringer Vibrato is the best thing ever, pretty much.

Bummer about the Rocky Road. I've heard great things about the Chicken Salad too, actually the only reason why I went with something else for vibe was because I couldn't find one.

Most of the old DOD stuff had options for stereo ins that if you search for deals you can probably find very cheap. Even normal prices never seem to eclipse $100. Only boner is that awkward power plug in. Easy mod to a Boss 9V though.

Behringer SF300 is a given, but this one is kinda a sleeper hit for me (especially once you've swapped in a better valve to replace the one that comes with it which is all screwed up in the mids)

If you can deal with the 30-pin iOS thing, the Digitech iStomp sounds really fucking good and will give you flavors of each. The asspain is that it's not an easy thing to switch between chorus and flange on the fly--you need to be hard wired to the iDevice.

Dunno if the Nux Modcore is any good at all. But stereo I/O, cheap as heck new.
