OK I changed my mind about the kick drum. Way too much attack. I don't wanna hear that much slap. HOW CAN SHE?
Also I never got into the deep dive but I'm pretty sure ACDC is the awesome version of ACDC

Slayer are the awesome version of ACDC, wherein every album may as well be the same album, but fuck it is an awesome album.
Slayer could just tour greatest hits shows and people would still show up in droves.![]()

They keep putting out new stuff, but they don't really need to, was my point.D.o.S. wrote:They've been doing that for like 20 years dude.Iommic Pope wrote:Slayer could just tour greatest hits shows and people would still show up in droves.
But, their new releases, whilst not ever reinventing the wheel are always solid and rad.
The other half of my point.
Meh. They should have canned it after Bon.rustywire wrote:OK I changed my mind about the kick drum. Way too much attack. I don't wanna hear that much slap. HOW CAN SHE?

You guys need to stop hating stuff because people you don't like like stuff.

On the whole Slayer thing: Yes, Seasons In The Abyss and South of Heaven could be the same album. But they both kick major ass. Show No Mercy, Hell Awaits, and Reign In Blood sounds nothing like them though. And whatever happened in the nineties and later is irrelevant.

Hey, I get what you're saying. I think that the douchebag-ratio when it comes to Slayer fans is probably a lot lower on this side of the pond. For some strange reason. If I'd have grown up in 'Murica, I'd probably hate Slayer too.Mudfuzz wrote:Fluffytime wrote:Oh, come on...

I'm not saying I don't like their classic stuff once I got over my hatred… um… stopped seeing slayer as a symbol for small town assholes

Where are you living Fluffy?
I love slayer up to Decades. Then less so. Divine and diablus have some killer tracks but as albums aren't quite there. The rest of their stuff has just meh' me out.
Testament though... So unimpeachable.
Anthrax has always been a mixed bag.

I like the last several Slayer albums more than their old shit. What's that say about me? You cocks.
