Mountainking Update

Post by hazelwould »

Hi guys,

I wanted update you all on some of the new things I've been working on:

BEHEMOTH II- The new and improved version on the Behemoth is finalized and available for ordering. Big organic bass overdrive, from cleanish to growly to almost fuzz. The price is $165. I will post a photo and more details about it soon. I'm hoping to have a video demo for it soon as well.

DECOMPOSER- For those you looking to dissolve, rip apart and melt the sound of your guitar this pedal is for you. You know that sound you get when you shut off your tube and continue to play while caps discharge? That's one of the sounds you can get from this messed up fuzz machine. Some settings even work well on bass! Finalized, will post a photo and a price for it soon, hopefully a video demo for it soon as well.

MAGNETAR- I think you guys are really gonna dig this thing. A freakin' massive sounding, planet shaking bass fuzz! Works great on guitar as well. Working on the prototype right now, should be finalized and available for ordering within a month.

The Sonic Attack and the Inter-dimensional Gateway will still be a while but I will update you on their progress.

FREQUENCY-LSD PRICE UPDATE: I've recently got a good deal on large quantities of some of the key components of the LSD and I realized that I could pass the savings on to you guys and bring the price down to $175.

Thanks and keep it heavy,

Alan

I can't wait to hear the Magnetar! And the others. :omg:

Alan's building me a MEGALITH :omg:

i'm too stoked.

Frequency LSD is next.

Somebody should email him and ask to do sweet art for him...

that's all he needs and he'll be king of riffz.
I've got a fuzzbox and i'm not afraid to use it

I personally LOVE the simplicity of his pedals. But he should get em screen printed, not decals.

I'm curious about the Megalith. I'm just wondering if it's gonna get lost in the mix like a standard BM type circuit. If I played sunn's at amazing volumes it wouldn't be a concern. :excellent:

I talked to alan about the MAGNETAR like a couple weeks ago, heres what he had to say:

The Magnetar is a really massive sounding fuzz with a synthy kind of texture/feel, I'm pretty excited about it. it should be available pretty soon, I'll post a blog about it when it's ready to go.

The FreqLSD is the most out there fuzz I own...It has such a great character, totally unique. It also stacks really well with other fuzz pedals, both before and after. I think its probably the most unique fuzz out there today, nothing sounds like it.
buncha stuff...

Let us know about the Ruckus! The price is right, and it sounds pretty sweet in the demo. My only concern is that it sounds like it may have a short decay and the clarity is kinda lacking. But that may be totally off.

Hey pothole - I have your FreqLSD now I do believe. It's good stuff! CV and EXP inputs right? A little modulating squarewave in the CV on that thing is aces.

Will do. The Ruckus is going to go head to head with my Mid-Fi Psych Byke for that splatty, ratty, buzzy, lo-fi fuzz that kicks you in the face sound I need on my board. The Psych fills that niche quite well to be honest, but I've long wondered about that Ruckus...and like you say, for the price it was a no brainer to snag one to try.

Oh awesome! I had Alan put that CV on there primarily for connection to the LFO Out from my Goatkeeper..which was a ton of fun. I may have to talk to Alan about another one of those...if he could squeeze the LSD into a Ruckus sized enclosure, I'd be all over it.
