Not to explicitly pimp my band, but...

Post by Antero »

If you're in Chicago, we're playing this Thursday (3/27) at Reggie's with the Gay Blades and the Loyal Divide. Yes there will be lots of DE Fuzz Love going on during our songs. :thumb:

And if you miss that night, well, we hit Cal's on 4/18 (that's going to be a fucking party, let me tell you) and Quenchers on 4/29.

And the album will be in my hands in about a week. :yay:

Cal's IS a fucking party! My band has had some awesome shows there. We played there 2 weeks ago to a packed house and the booze just FLOWED.

Oh yeah, and the time before that our guitarist ended up with a broken beer bottle lodged in his back during a particularly raucous set.

Wouldn't have it any other way.

Starcastic, you guys are playing somewhere in Chicago on Friday, I hear? I'd like to hit that up if I can...

We're definitely planning on making the Cal's show a night to remember. CD release party! And it's a Friday? Stepping up the thrashing. I plan on bleeding - the bassist should too, judging by how I accidentally gouged him with my headstock at rehearsal today.

Pretty good, man! The bands were excellent, the free beers flowed like water in the "Green Room", and we went to see Bear Claw at Quenchers afterward. I met Thax Douglas too. Apparently he's a fan of our band. The guys in my band already know him. He read a poem before they played once (before I was in the band).

Overall, a great night! :)

Our show went quite well, though I managed to somehow completely wear out my voice by the end - unusual - but it'll be good practice for

OUR CD (SELF) RELEASE CONCERT AT CAL'S ON APRIL 18TH FUCK YES

starcastic wrote:Thax Douglas

After my first or second year of college I was back home in LA and went to a concert, and who should climb up on stage but Thax Motherfucking Douglas. I about had a heart attack and died on the spot - nobody really knew what was going on except for me, and I was thinking "HOLY SHIT THE GUY WITH THE BEARD AND POEMS FOLLOWED ME HOME."
