anybody using the SH-8 Invader with fuzz?

I was quite surprised how well the Hot Rails in my G&L works with fuzz - the SH-8 seems to have quite a similar voicing and output, hence the question.

The rhythm guitarist in my last doom metal band used Invaders (older models mostly) in every single guitar he owned and they sounded great with a really thick fuzz into an old Marshall JCM800. I've been wanting to try one in the bridge position of a guitar just for fun since then, but never got around to it so far. I put some GFS power rails in my beater previously, thinking they would be kind of similar, and hated them. Very hot, but super shrill sounding. The Invaders I've heard always had a really nice low end and slight mid scoop for heavy tones though.

It sounds massive with beefier fuzzes, but when I run it through something like an absynth it just shits itself.

I really like it as a pickup though, and I want to try a fuzzstortion like the grey channel or mini through it.
