the most recent teaser actually even reveals more than that mock up had. All i can say is, this teaser strategy has random people making mockups of what it looks like based on teaser images, so it seems to be getting people pumped? i don't think this thing is gonna be manna from heaven, but holy crap it's cool.

See I figured it'd be like 250 because of the brand, but that looks above and beyond anything I've seen Behringer come out with. If it's not a huge pile of shit like their pedals, then 500 isn't bad for what it seems to be. At least IMO.

Pretty much. If I have to use a computer to fully program it, then why not just get a good vst/interface/controller and be done with it

Looks like you can program it on the screen itself I think, the iPad/Computer plug in is just for deeper stuff.

Exactly why I'm skeptical. I don't want to use a computer to have access to all the settings. If it's just to make it easier that's one thing, but I don't want to NEED a computer to program it. Definitely holding out judgement until I hear about all the features and a there's an in depth demo.

There are a bunch of reviews of the flagship mixer by the same design team, professional reviews and consumers. They are overwhelmingly positive.
Take it to mean what you will.

Also bear in mind the current analog poly market: The closest thing to this currently out there is the DSI Prophet 08. Which is $1800. This has 4 more voices and built in effects, although we don't know all the specs yet, it can run a chain of at least 4 effects at once. The Minilogue does VCOs, which some people are purists about, but only 4 voices, with minikeys, and some severe limitations on the modulation. The Analog 4/Analog Keys are both around $1300 and only do 4 voices, but admittedly with a lot of nice features.

The reality is this thing could still drop at $1000, and if the features were good and the construction was as solid as their recent flagships, it would destroy the synth market. I don't know how much it will be or how good it will be, but it will probably at least mean more interesting and affordable things happening in the synth world? Behringer is hiring a 30 person full time Synth division. Here's hoping the future gets weird. Cyberpunk reality 2016.
