How do you tell the difference between non shielded and shielded cables? I just bought myself a blackheart top + cab and the manual very specifically says: "Never use shielded cables to connect speakers to an amplifier"
It means they want you to use speaker cable, not regular instrument/guitar cable.
Speaker cables are usually a thicker gauge and are unshielded and can carry the high current needed to power the speakers. You can use instrument cable in a bind, but you could damage something.
