I've heard more suck than rock from chorus, but there are some great ones...
Danelectro Cool Cat (the original 18v one made from cast iron hehe)
Boss DC-2 Dimension C
Ibanez TC-10 Twin Cam Chorus

I love chorus. The H20 is on my board, but it's not the latest version. I also use a Boss Digital Dimension (stays on all the time!) and a CE2 clone that I built myself on the tonepad board using metal film resistors, WIMA caps, etc. That's my favorite of the bunch, obviously.

Electro Harmonix small clone is really nice, it can do the subtle stuff beautifully as well as the thick gloopy stuff, plus it isn't that expensive second hand, mine was about £35 -40
i love me some Cocteau twins and do have a weak spot for that kind or chorus, but bad 80's rock chorus (see bon jovi et al) is the vilest thing in the world though

Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe

I want a DC-2 SO FUCKIN HARD.
Right now, I've settled for the Behringer copy of it, which is actually not bad. It sounds dead on to a DC-2, even if the casing and switch are crap.

Did we already discuss whether the Behringer could be rehoused? Becuz I wants DC-2!

I've heard of people rehousing Behringer pedals before, but I read that its a bitch because everything is surface mount, and the switch and jacks are board-mounted as well.

Re: chorus fans
I'm a big fan of plugin chorus. Audio Damage Fluid and Discord II are awesome (Vapor is okay too), Intelligent Devices Time Modulator is incredible, the UAD stuff is always great, and the Uhbik Flanger/Chorus is amazing.
On the hardware front, putting a subtle vibrato onto a DSS-1 patch into stereo delay (say, 20 and 30 ms?) with a bit of modulation and no feedback sounds amazing.
