That my friend sorta falls into the "Why do people risk their lives climbing Mt. Everest? Because it is there." category.eatyourguitar wrote:you are probably the only one that will build it even though you posted the vero on diystompboxesdigi2t wrote:Guess I better get crackin' on that Ludwig Phase II vero build then, huh?

Straight up Harmonic Perc clone except a Germanium NPN transistor has been substituted for the specified Silicon NPN.

It's an OPA2134. I thought long and hard about the metal can angle, and while it would have really completed the look, I decided against it. First off, I have a big collection of DIP package IC's, more so than cans. Secondly, the 2134 is what sounds best to my ears. In the end, I couldn't see myself passing over performance for the sake of esthetics. At the end of the day, it's got a job to do too. What IC is that? Is it available in a metal can?
The purple (and yellow) coax is from an old Farfisa organ I gutted a few years back. I've got various colors, but the yellow and purple really work well together.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.
