I think you're fine dude! As long as you're upfront with people. I mean Seppuku Fx does something very similar and some people don't go for it but others love it. So I wouldn't discontinue a product just based on a gripe or two. :)

No trouble on my end. I was just curious. I would never be able to use that toy on my board, and you've adapted it to be pedalboard friendly and instrument friendly. So I think that's pretty fucking cool.

This is the main reason I stopped doing them. I fucking HATE rehousing pedals. It's such a pain the ass. People don't even know. LOL. Especially when everyone wants top mounted shit...ugh. Or can you move this here or there. I know it's board mounted, but you can do it right? Fuck I don't miss that shit.

All my pedals are built using internal wiring. No board mounted pots etc. Frenweh has more than 100 internal wires btw.
Ucreate Music toys are well known in the diy community. There have been some rehousing projects but none commercial ones i've heard of. The success the Blob had (well, on my very humble level) and the instagram hype it got have helped me a lot. But still my reputation is what feeds me and my daughter, not the blobs. So I don't feel any pity.
I've added an "ship your Mattel to me and I'll make a blob out of it" option to the website.
Hope no one is offended.

Can't wait for my blob, I think it's an awesome idea honestly. It's similar to how anyone can make a clone or what not but taking the initiative to not only rehouse it but adapt it to better lend itself to musicians is a huge. I mean you see big muffs and just because they label them NOS Russian transistors and suddenly a very basic circuit is going for boutique prices.

I've actually been trying to think of a name for my new musical project just this week
I didn't know Chank was involved, but the more the merrier! :thumb:

Hey man, no harm no foul. I just wanted a little more transparency about what you used and what you did. I think you guys make cool stuff, and if I was a richer man I probably would have bought a blob because I've been wanting to use it with my guitar rig.

You should keep making blobs! It sounds like there's a demand for them. In fact, I might send mine to you to work your magic on.

35-50 depending on rates and you will want insurance unless you don't mind eating the package

I agree I think he should keep turning out blobs too. I was speaking to him when he initially was going to sell them and he was very concerned about it but weighed it against how many requests he was getting for it when people saw one photo.

Alexey is an awesome dude he is just worried about people thinking he is taking advantage of him. Honestly though he has to get it shipped from the US which is not cheap, build enclosure, buffers and other modifications and then ship it back. Onto of buying the toy it really adds up.

I was not considering a blob prior to this but I think Polivox has done a tremendous job addressing this question and I'm very happy to see it unfold in this fashion.

E&A = good shit.
