^^^ Electra-based overdrive with tweaked values and a sili/LED clipper combo. I quite like this one - it's warm sounding on the surface, but the LED gives it this weird, crisp undercurrent. Definitely interesting.

The tube dude is an envelope controlled gate/vca made with a low voltage pentode. It's got a series effects loop, internal envelope follower, and external CV input. You can also just use it as a boost or light overdrive. Fun, especially with external CV.


This one is a smaller version of my envelope controlled Korg MS20 filter clone. It does LP, HP, and notch filtering, and will sweep up or down. It's got a single CV input for cutoff frequency. Great super usable filter with tons of range. Sounds great on guitar, bass, keys. Works well on any voltage from 9 to 24, though I use 18 most of the time.


This is my newest filter. Looks the same as the MS20, but this one uses the Polivoks filter core. Does LP and BP. This thing is weird. It's grimy, grungy, and somewhat wild. Very funky, super sensitive to input levels, and has an interesting and sometimes bizarre sound. Runs on 18v. Single CV input for cutoff. Same basic "wrapper" circuitry as the MS20, so they fit the same layout.


If you couldn't tell, I'm a bit of an envelope filter nerd.

Just finished an Aion Refractor (Klon klone). The JRC4558's are out of a scrapped SDD2000. True 80's IC's, carefully desoldered out of the SDD's board. Of all the different IC's I tried, these were the best combo. Russian D9E diodes, matched at 0.31vF. Smooth highs, velvety overdrive, all while retaining the character of the original tone, just more of it. Pushing the OD2 channel on the Tourmaster, with the amps gain at noon, I can get a really good Metallica style rhythm sound. Very nice! As always, plain grey wrapper. We all know that fancy paint jobs only dampen the tone. Besides, when your lost in some orgasmic tone, your eyes should be closed anyway!
