Wow. That schematic is going to be hard to follow up, but I'll do my best...
I went all out with this one.
It turns out that those vintage capacitors and carbon comp resistors add a shitload of "warmth" (noise) and "mojo" (noise), as compared to the test board I built which uses modern components and sockets to audition the transistors. It sounds AWESOME, and it's dead quiet when I'm not playing!

The enclosure was fabricated for the build by a friend of the gentleman I built the pedal for. It's made from beefy 1/16th inch steel. It was so hard to drill through haha...

Check out my highly refined, yet economical, apparatus that I used to set the enclosure up for finishing - my landlord and the neighbor both drink cheap beer, and the table saw was a throw-away from my girlfriend's dad's last spring cleaning.

Laser decals. Pew pew pew! Pew pew! Note the gold paint on my hand - that shit took days to come off.

The finished product. I can't tell you how happy I am with this. I almost wish I could keep it!

Yeah, I don't fuck around.

Oh, don't get me wrong - I love how it sounds, but I don't think many would. There's a lot of noise in the tone, even though it's quiet when you're not playing.

Speaking of pedals that sound like absolute shit, in a good way...
This is Big Black, a Harmonic Percolator clone.

It''s named after this band:

And it sounds just like it.

I'm going to try to get some clips of the Big Black tomorrow before I put it in the mail.
Also, I whipped up another TB. I'm liking this hammertone paint and laser decal thing!

My first pedal build: The Moody Fuzz DIY Kit.
The LED doesn't work, but I don't care. Sounds alright. I'm not overwhelmed by it though.
This is my first DIY project ever. I have her for like 3 years now. Built from scratch. All I bought was the tuners and the strings. Everything else is built by me. Without decent (meaning: electric) tools. But it was so much fun and I love it to death. It's also very versatile. You can make it sound like a crappy version of every stringed instrument you can think of. Right now I use it as a three-string Gu Qin since no decent ones are to be found in Germany.
Here's a sound clip of both things combined.

Re: Let's see your finished DIY projects!
I sent it off without recording clips. Oops.
It sounds like this:

You can clearly hear the guitar before the bass kicks in.

Absolutely do NOT fuck with Albini.
So damn funny. And also, you feel like building another one of those?
