Scandis look as horrid with dreadlocks as other caucasians though, so I don't think we should try to reclaim our hairitage ( ).

RATM have some catchy songs, but I always thought that their lyrics were a bit too... I dunno, simplistic isn't really the word I'm looking for either. Slogan-y? Stereotypical? But whatever, I'm guessing their rhetoric isn't aimed at me.

The guitar solo legit blew my young mind. Morello sounded like he was crab-skratching on a turntable.
I didn't focus much on the lyrics, it was just angsty kid hype music that made me wanna grind some handrails.

Well, I have great sympathy for Rachel who thinks we suck and for you who are reminded of your family's personal losses during World War 2. Nothing I say, I imagine, will encourage Rachel to believe that the music we make is of any merit at all, though I suspect her distaste is non-musical and probably personal. That's OK. She will/can join the throngs who don't know or care about Oxbow at all.

Mr. Bourbon, sir, however....if you've read the excerpt from the Maelstrom interview and you still find it completely indefensible, then I suppose it won't matter to you that I find symbolic measures fairly worthless in total, to begin with. Much like LaVey finally admitting to me in an interview that he was an atheist who was using the whole Church of Satan dodge just to make the rent. call me an amoralist. Or call me a [EDITED] as long as it amuses you to do so, unless what you're really saying is "I want to fight you," I'm not liable to be too concerned about it as symbols exist to be manipulated in ways that we find to be significant or interesting or illustrative of larger points we might be trying to make in, on or about our lives. In this specific instance, I am talking about good AND evil and if your point is that in the process of doing so I might be hurting someone's feelings, well, understood. I, in fact, wear long sleeve shirts when I go to Seder.

Other than that I cannot be (and have not been) too concerned, instead preferring to reserve my real concerns for present and eminent dangers to my mental health and physical welfare.
