BIG Pedolz
Ok ILF, I'm really into aesthetically large pedals right now, I haz a Caprid and the big dumb box is pretty sweet, but collecting a list of unreasonably large pedals is unsurprisingly not only difficult to Google, but a pretty niche subject in itself. However, I know ILF has the knowledge. What are some pedals that have stupidly big boxes? If they sound cool it's a bonus

Moog pedals are amazing
Akai Headrush
some Maxons have large cases
most old school EHX has big boxes and looks pretty sweet when laid out together.
I'm in a band with a dude who has a board with a bunch of big box EHX stuff, and i dig it so much. For example, I have absolutely no interest in the nano Hot Tubes, but the big box on his board looks so good.

Moogerfoogers.
Old EHX.
Snazzy FX.
Morley wahs.
I can't lie...I like big pedals. But I am a massive human (6'5", 245). My giant feet can't handle all this micro bullshit.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.

Re: BIG Pedolz
I've got several large pieces, and I can share some comparison pics alongside other gear.
The Gretsch Tremofect is perhaps the largest commercial effect that was ever produced for guitars, in terms of height and length (excluding multi-effect systems and custom rehousings). It has the bulk of a college dictionary, and you could put about 11 small pedals on the face of a Tremofect. (nano effects--close to 15?)

Here you can see (L-R descending order) how the Tremofect towers over other large housings, like the old Studio Electronics Modmax casings, a Moogerfooger, and a Roadrunner Flexitone. It's significantly wider, and possesses about twice the height of other large floor units.

Looking at recent releases, a pedal like the Aphazing at about 7 1/4" in length, may seem like a large unit, but it actually falls somewhere in the middle, when you compare the tallest boxes to more commonplace units.

Re: BIG Pedolz
I no longer have any Colorsound units, but those are quite large. That era inspired the Rotosound reissues, which are a bit silly. They're just simple circuits put into deluxe housings for novelty's sake. In a market that's already saturated, it seems counterproductive to release something quite expensive and non-pedalboard friendly. Nonetheless, here they are in their big box glory.

Re: BIG Pedolz
I parted with this guy a while ago. The Snazzy units are about the same length (bottom to top) as the Moogerfoogers.

I had a Faye's Her and a Krautrock at one point, but it'd be faster to dig up some Web pics.

Not a production unit, but this custom COG is massive.
