I've never had an EHX die on me before, but I know others haven't had such luck so I thought I would pass this along in case they can bring your pedals back to life!

Public Service Announcement: Broken EHX pedals
I had 2 broken EHX pedals - a Memory Toy that just stopped working and a Freeze that was dead because I tried to mod it -- bad idea since it's smd. Both were out of warranty. Anyway, figured I might as well contact New Sensor repairs as otherwise they were junk, and they charged me $25 plus shipping each pedal to diagnose, and fix if possible. 2 weeks later I have both pedals back working great!

Yeah, EHX is really good about repairs and pretty reasonable prices. Some small builders are really good about that kind of stuff, some not. And many bigger companies like EHX aren't very good about repairs - either opting not to repair or charging a crazy service fee.

That isn't too bad. Swapping out a PCB, even with mounted jacks and pots, wouldn't cost that much with labor. Even at cost, they are doing themselves a favor with good reputation by standing behind their products and not gouging customers.
How were you modding the Freeze?

I was trying to add a feedback control to run the output back through the input. I either broke a trace or burned out a resistor.

Dunlop has a pretty good turnaround & reasonable rates in case your el cheapo MXR pedal or wah goes ptoof (I think my charge was $45, UPS shipping inclusive, but the pedal was a hand-me-down), which probably also covers Way Huge, I think. But given the amount of wayward/stray/broken for parts/not working versions of a bulk of their pedals (MXR & Dunlop) are all over the place for sale (sometimes just a PCB in a box w/ no screws?), they charge as the parts/labor add up, obviously (maybe just take up soldering?).
My Moog experience - sent a Minifooger (still under warranty) in for a toggle repair, but they kept it for three solid months w/ no update until I emailed them asking what was up? They sent it back, fixed, a few days later w/ no charge. This was during the Mother 32 low supply/high demand during the beginning of it's run, so I just figured they were too busy building & fixing those instead

I had a cathedral with a faulty power jack. I don't know if it was the jack or the board, but for $25 I decided to just send it to them. I got it back within 2 weeks of shipping it and it was fixed!
I definitely appreciated that and was happy to spend a reasonable amount of money to save me the hour of diagnosing and fixing myself.

Adding a feedback control to run the output back through the input ain't like dusting crops, boy!
