Unsound is always awesome. Not sure I'd make the trip for the bands listed, though.

I'm not as excited for SunnO))). I would want to go to that for the experience alone which I think would be pretty epic. I'm a lot more interested in Tim Hecker, who I have been listening to constantly lately. I'm almost more excited for the venue and atmosphere too. Really just overall it seems like it will be a pretty awesome show

Oh man, I just looked up set times and the other artists playing and found out Alessandro Cortini is one of them! So happy I decided to get tickets; I've been wanting to see him since I started with modular.

There's also a ton of other acts playing. A couple names I recognize, but none I'm that excited about.

So this was by far the coolest concert I have ever been too. Alessandro Cortini was phenomenal. I have never felt music like that before. Like, physically, actually felt it. So loud, so much low end, and so, so good. I really want to know what he was using because everything sounded so raw, but organic. Wandered to the side room after Cortini and came across a guy just killing it on a sax (I think, I never got a clear view) accompanied by some droning synth. Then back to the main stage to catch Roly Porter, whose music I didn't enjoy as much, but he had some crazy visuals going on, including one part where they used the strobes to "allow you to see with your eyes closed". Tim Hecker's set was also killer, but I was crashing by the end of it and my buddy had to leave so I left too.

The atmosphere in the Hearn Generating Station was the best part though. Enormous, degraded industrial power station. Literally rubble, rust, pipes, and machinery all around. Plus tons of art installations because it was in the middle of the Luminato Arts festival.

I think this lineup is amazing. As someone who grew up in England, lived in Poland and then moved to Canada, it all seems to tie in. Artists like The Bug and Flowdan are real unexpected but I'll take it. Honestly Roly Porter is hands down the artist I'm most looking forward to, Aftertime was a gem. Not too bothered about Sunn O))) but Hecker, Olivia, Porter and The Bug definitely seem to come together to make an interesting show.

EDIT: holy shit I saw this too late lol ignore/kill me

Sorry you missed it :(
Hopefully it'll be back next year with another killer line-up

Thanks, I was really wishing I had something better than an iPhone camera while I was there. Such an amazing place. I would love to spend a day or two in there just exploring and climbing shit. It would also be sweet to bring along some recording gear and do field recordings in there
