I figured you were avoiding the 88 because of Eivind haha.

I sort of am, haha. But I would at least like to try it on bass. See what's up.

Re: Gated oscillating fuzz for bass!
There are plenty of great gated fuzzes for bass, but oscillating and gated...not so sure. I hated the 88 on bass personally.
I say contact Tom at Fuzzhugger, and ask him. He's the man with this shit.

Re: Gated oscillating fuzz for bass!
Thread is relevant bc psych/gaze/metal interests. I have a desire to pare down pedals super hard after loosing my job, but think it would be cool to have an interesting oscillofuzz for bass. Mostly just wish the megalith clone i have could oscillate.

I didn't mean to be picky
I recommend both 141T and Fuzz-E-Cat, I just wanted to see what else was out there.

Had the 141G, it was fun, but just never felt like what i was waiting for. If a Fuzz-E-Cat crosses my path, i'll bite. Also willing to consider an Absynth.

While I love the 88 the tone axe does a better gated oscillation and is better on bass and is less breakable, it's also a better mini take on a freqbox than the orbit is.

this is why https://soundcloud.com/grindingmass/bass-2D.o.S. wrote:Idk that's always my response for 'gated' threads. I feel like a fuzz that's simultaneously gated and oscillating is a circle I can't square in my head. Like... why would you want the noise to stop?UglyCasanova wrote:I don't think I follow. Why would I want that? I don't think a noise gate can stop a stream of oscillation, and if it could, it would also stop my played notes. Also, why get another pedal on my board when I can just get a gated fuzz?
