I thought of a few more things.

Serena Maneesh:
Not sure in what incarnation it exists at this point, but Emil Nikolaisen still seems to pop up once in awhile online.

Glifted:
Supposedly still around, but Tim Lash hasn't given anyone any new tracks in a while.

Saxon Shore: https://saxonshore.bandcamp.com/track/this-place
I think they're more class'd as post-rock, but this song in particular with Caroline Lufkin is big, fuzzy, and haunting. I really liked Caroline's solo album from way back.

Thanks for the reminder on these folks! I discovered them a couple of weeks ago, and love the new album.

Not at all. I'm in Phoenix, they are based in NYC (Brooklyn?).

Just a fan. Hope you dig. I think I saw that they are touring with Deftones and Refused. What a ridiculous lineup that is!

Ran sound for this band once. Greatly enjoyed. They were louder live.

Otherwise this thread covered my big suggestions of Pinkshinyultrablast and No Joy.

Also thanks for the heads up on Spotlights bc Doomgaze is a genre i'm astonished isn't being pushed harder. maybe it is and i'm just out of touch.

I'm definitely out of touch, just maybe on this.

Reasonable. I think it kind of died coveragewise after Deafheaven became the new Liturgy.
