don't know what made me think of 'em but i saw 'em at knitting factory in LA 14 years ago. keys, guitar, drums.
just wondering if anyone ever knew of / saw them. wish i could find their EP i apparently didn't rip...

oh yeah and it was kind of a big name show / two stage event thing, they weren't just some small time but weren't big.
i was there to see autolux, but de facto & 400 blows were in it too. wish i could remember others...
totally remember how the whole thing ran so late de facto got the shaft and only had time for like three songs.

Those guys were great. Former VSS dudes, also Red Sparowes, right? I dug them... unfortunately don't have any of their stuff handy anymore, but could probably get a hold of it pretty quickly.

i was pretty young, but it's funny, back then it was a no-no of me to sneak a minidisk in and try to record the show...
being right in front of the stage for autolux, it didn't turn out so hot.

Ha yeah I feel like LA's got such a safe feel to it for the most part (at least compared to other places I've been/lived), but it's bizarre and often a bit scary walking around. I think because you spend most of your time driving, walking makes you notice all the desolate stretches of shit.

Funny nobody else has chimed in about PF though! Guess not too many fans? The reason I knew em was because this girl Dana I used to be in a band with was in Red Sparowes early on. She played PF for me--for some reason I hadn't heard about them yet despite liking the VSS.

Anyway! Thanks for the trip down memory lane... I'd forgotten about those guys. I guess that makes us the same age--where were you living at the time?

where i'm still stuck, good ol' midwest's ohio.
my parents had some sort of convention out there so i flew there w/ them, stuck around for the concert.
was weird being out there not knowing a single person, but glad i experienced it.

Hey, I remember them! I also saw them live in Oslo about 14 years ago. And I love The VSS and Angel Hair too... even got that CD from when they were called Slaves.
