That's the issue. I haven't found a cool one that fits my budget yet. I keep looking around but nothing turns up.

What are you contemplating DD? I was into the thought of a 12 string, and the one I looked at most was a Hagström Viking or one from Italia guitars (very unsure if this is the actual brand name, or if they were even cheap in the first place lol)

Yeah. I liked the Viking very much, but it seems they don't make those anymore. I have to admit price was a little high for my wallet and I was a little put off by the lys flower headstock just like I am with anything that evokes royalty. #French

I've looked into the Squier Venus XII as well but hard to find, gonna have to import and find someone willing to ship to France. And did I mention the price is ridiculous?

The most viable option to me is the Danelectro, but again a tad expensive for what it is on the EU market (only 100-150€ less than what the Viking XII was).

At this point it's the only piece of music gear I want to buy, so I'm thinking setting aside some money and keeping on the lookout for something used and cool from the US or Ishibashi. Like those weird shaped Ovations, Squier Venuses, older Hagstroms or even something cool built of parts. Still I don't want to spend too much. If I don't bond with it, flipping locally will be a major hassle. It will involve losing a 100€ on shipping at best. I'm more okay with keeping something around that doesn't get much use if it's not a pricey item. Also, no sunbursts.

And who knows, maybe Squier will finally release a VM electric XII?
